I can see where my story cause some confusion and questions on my
portrayal of Akane. Allow me to clarify.

First of all, keep in mind that this is only the very first draft! It
is written in a burst of idea in a brief period of 2 hours. Now, after
my usual afternoon meditation (er, I mean nap), I can see the problem of
this. Actually, I'm not so satisfy with my portrayal of Akane either.
Indeed, she is just a little bit too 'girly', I guess you can say. I'm
going to edit it, but the main ideas, Akane being afraid of the dark and
that ending kiss, that I will not change.

Now as for where I get my ideas. For Akane being afraid of the dark.
Akane is really not as strong as we think. Look at the Tunnel of Lost
Love. She is so afraid of those ghosts. Look at Shampoo's magical
mushroom story. She was freaked out when Ranma scared her while she was
watching a horror movie by herself. Look at the magical dougi episode.
When she saw the spider/snake/whatever else, the first thing she did was
scream and jump into Ranma's arms. Also in the story, she was afraid t
get wet paint on her and was really thankful that Ranma helped her.
Akane is a girl, and she is afraid of these things. If she can be
afraid of ghosts, horror movies, snakes and spiders, why not the
darkness?

As for the ending part with the kiss. Okay, I know it seems a little
bit sudden, but that is not that inconsistent with Akane's character as
it would seems. Again, look at the magical dougi story. After she
jumped into Ranma's arms, what did she do? They would have kissed if
they were interrupted. Whatever the main story from volume 34? I think
they would have most likely kissed in that dark room if Nodoka showed
up. Even as early as volume 4 (I think), the part after Ranma-chan got
kissed by Mikado, while along in the dojo, Ranma and Akane probably
would have kissed within a moment's notice if they were not interrupted
by their nosy parents. They love each other! As I look back, I realize
a lot of this needs to be revised, but I don't think it is too sudden
that Akane did that. Come on, it is not even a real kiss. Shouldn't
Akane, Ranma's fiancee, be even allowed to be nice to him for a change?

And as for the clarification at the end. I guess I didn't make it too
clear, but I intend for Ranma to sleep in Akane's bed while Akane sleeps
somewhere else.

Thank you for listening, and I appreciate all this who took their time
to read and C & C this.
