Ranma translates as "Wild Horse"
Kasumi translates as "Misty"
So "Wild Stallion In The Mist", could be taken as some sort of
"penetration" of one by the other, no? (Hey, I'd pay a dollar to see
that. ;-)
Hmmmm..... No one kill me for this. It's the second Ranma fic I've done
(and the first is still in pre-reading/writing). Originally, it was going
to be a lemon involving Kasumi and Ranma, but I think it became too good of
a story to make the characters have sex for no reason.
If enough people send me C&C saying they want the lemonized version,
I'll post it. Otherwise, it won't happen.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Takes place right after Akane finds Shampoo in the bath with Ranma.
>From the moment of discovery onward, it is an alternate timeline. :)

Wild Horse lost in the Mist.
(sorry, it's a pretty bad title, but it works :)
A semi-parody lemon by Ben Kosse
(who can't believe he's doing this)

Nabiki had left rather hurridly, as did Soun and Genma, all kindly
saying "Good bye" through the kitchen door.
Kasumi was humming quietly to herself as she was drying dishes. A
pounding sound echoed from the other room: Akane probably left an impression
on Ranma yet again. The sound was becoming so routine, Kasumi didn't even
loose her note in her little ditty. What did make her stop humming was the
wickedly loud slamming of the door. That was new.
The routine of dish-drying slowed down to a crawl as she thought of
going and seeing who was missing. However, it was only moments later when
a very hurt looking Ranma walked into the kitchen, his right arm tightly
against his side. She looked at the dejected figure, "Are you OK, Ranma?"
"Yeah. I'm just going to get an ice pack."
"Let me help." Kasumi put down the plate she was drying, and grabbed
a washcloth from the drawer. She also took a plastic sac and filled it with
ice. Using a sturdy glass, she crushed the ice a little, and wrapped the
bag in the washcloth. "Here Ranma."
Ranma was sitting at the table. He gratefully accepted the ice pack
and placed it against his bruised ribs, inside his shirt, wincing at the
contact.
"Ranma...." Kasumi looked at the teen, he had seen better days. To be
honest, he probably would have fared better fighting a god. "Ranma, what
happened?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
They looked at each other for a long time. Kasumi was crying inside
for Ranma.
"Ranma.... Please don't do this. Tell me what happened."
Again, a long pause. A battle of patience had ensued, one which Ranma
was destined to loose. Finally, he snapped, exploding in a rage which was
focused only through his words. "SHE JUST DOESN'T LISTEN TO ME! I DIDN'T
PLAN FOR HER TO END UP IN THE DAMN BATH! AKANE JUST WALKED IN AND THOUGHT
I WAS SCREWING SHAMPOO! I COULDN'T EXPLAIN, I COULDN'T DO ANYTHING!"
"Oh my." Then the full enormity of what Ranma had said sunk into her
mind. That would explain why Akane left in such a huff, Kasumi thought to
herself. "Oh my."
Ranma was trying not to cry, but was shaking with the effort. He wasn't
crying from the pain in his side, but the thought that he lost Akane forever.
He didn't want to hurt her like this, but somehow, something always got in
the way. Something wouldn't let him have Akane.
Kasumi sat down beside him, and moved close. She pulled him close,
trying to comfort the twice-cursed boy. Finally, his head against her breast,
he began to truely cry. She started stroking his hair absentmindedly, almost
like she was petting him.
Finally, Ranma stopped crying. He started to get up. Kasumi asked:
"Are you going to be fine, Ranma?"
"Yeah. I'm just going to my room to sulk."
She followed him upstairs, wanting to make sure that he was truely going
to be fine. She couldn't figure out what it was that Akane hated about him
so much. He noticed that she was following, and was silently thankful. Now that
he had actually admitted his feelings, he thought that it was a lot nicer to
have a compassionate shoulder to cry against than nothing.
"Ranma, can I do anything for you?" Kasumi asked Ranma while he sat down
on his futon.
He grunted his affermation, and she understood what he wanted, sitting
beside him, wrapping her arm around his shoulder and pulling him closer.
The warmth of her body started to work its way into Ranma's cold side,
bringing a wonderful feeling to his wounded ribs. A wonderful contrast to the
cold ice pack. He wrapped his arms around her, and pulled her only slightly
closer. As wonderful as she felt, his ribs were bruised after all, and there
was a limit to the pressure which could be applied without causing extreme
pain. "Kasumi, thank you." Ranma turned towards Kasumi after he said that,
looking towards her face.
"What for?" The two looked at each other for a long time, trying to
discern what was happening.
"You're always there for me. You're so kind and considerate.... It's
almost like you understand me. It's so nice to have someone here I can be
honest with, someone who doesn't just hit me all the time." He sniffled
a little bit.
"R-Ranma?" Her eyes melted into his. She was beginning to regret having
said that Akane would be the one to get Ranma. She liked his humor, and even
his sarcasm was nice sometimes. Besides, she couldn't deny that he was cute.
"Kasumi. C-Can I be honest again?" She nodded her affirmation. He took
a long time before he continued, speaking so rapidly it took Kasumi a few
moments to decipher his words. "I wish I had been engaged to you." It was a
tremendous weight off his mind, yet he was afraid of what she might say.
"Ranma. I-I feel the same way." They looked at each other, and slowly,
they moved closer and closer. Sparks could almost be seen between their eyes
as their lips almost touched. "Ranma." They kissed. Gently at first, then
emotion overcoming their rational minds, harder.
Kasumi reached, blindly, for Ranma's other hand, her right hand already
holding his right hand, fingers intertwined. Finally she reached it and
grasped it. They continued for at least five minutes before Ranma broke off.
Kasumi just gasped, "Oh my!"
Ranma looked into her eyes. There was something burning there which he
had never seen before. Little did he know, the same fires of love were
burning in his eyes as well. Kasumi had broken the Akane's unintended spell.
They heard the door open, and broke their engagement. Ranma let the ice
pack fall from his shirt, onto the futon. It was completely melted.
Soun and Genma were the first to return. Genma looked towards his son
and spoke "Well, son, where is your fiance?"
"Um... I don't know. I need to talk to you about this engagement,
though. It's just not going to work out like it stands."
"And why not, son?" Genma replied, beginning to anger. Sound looked
like he was about to start crying.
"I love someone other than Akane."
"That doesn't matter, son. You will marry Akane, and carry on the
school."
Kasumi interjected, "But, Mr. Saotome, doesn't Ranma have to marry
one of us, not specifically Akane. That was your agreement, right?"
"Yes, but none of you wanted my son. It was agreed that Akane would
get him."
"I think a mistake was made, on my part. And besides, Ranma had the
choice."
Ranma looked towards the woman he was just kissing. "Kasumi!" He gasped.
He knew how he felt now. In fact, he was rather glad that he was forced to
marry a Tendou. "I... I think this needs to be done right." Then, he turned
to his father. "Father, if you want me to marry a Tendou, then I choose
Kasumi."
Soun started crying from the happiness. Genma almost fainted.
Akane had just entered the house in time to hear those three words. "I
choose Kasumi." They echoed through her head, and she slumped to the floor.
"Ranma," she finally managed, meekly, announcing her presence.
     Everything became completely quiet.
"Oh my." Kasumi was the only one who spoke.
