Re: Ranma in the spring of the drowned Akane.

Seeing as how the SOD-Akane was created, that fic would be impossible,
unless someone was to write up an alternative solution as to how it was
created...
Well, Zen will yell at me for this, but...
The story starts (or flashes back later) to a series of letters between
Genma and Soun, where Genma gets a little carried away (as usual) talking
about the martial arts prowess of his 10-year old son Ranma.
Soun will feel that he's not living up to his side of the bargain and
will leave the two elder daughters with his wife and take Akane on a
training trip to China.
Due to an earthquake there is a new spring there, and Akane almost
drowns and is very sick for a few weeks and becomes very good friends
with Shampoo at that village while she recovers.
No sooner is Akane able to travel again, when they get a letter that Mrs
Tendo has fallen very ill. (Akane just misses seeing her mother alive,
one last time)
Six years later, Genma and Ranma arrive (in their uncursed forms), and
Akane is selected for him as usual. ("Oh, he wants Akane!" "Yes,
definitely, just look at the way he stares at her.")
The story follows the canonical plot as closely as possible for a while
(without ever letting Akane see a transformed Ranma. This story MUST be
told from Akane's POV, as she becomes convinced that either she or the
rest of the world is mad, but at least Ranma doesn't insult her too
much, if you don't consider staring at her slack-jawed all the time
insulting), until at least Ryoga and Shampoo are introduced.
Just to keep Zen happy, I must promise not to touch this one until after
I finish "Promise" (sometime around B-ko's birthday, her ZEROTH
birthday...), so anybody else who wants to take a crack at this is
welcome.
