Well, I went to bed, woke up a few hours later, and found this little
bombshell in my mailbox.
I thought about how to respond to it for a long time. Finally, I
realized that I *couldn't* respond to it, for one simple reason: Ranma
is a fictional character, put into a hypothetical situation. What
happened to you is real. To try and draw comparisons would be to
cheapen your experience, and that I don't wont to do. To try and argue
your points would be to risk offending you, not to mention offending
myself.
Gomen. You may call me a coward if you wish; I won't object *too*
vehemently. :)
One point I do want to address: It wasn't my intention to have Ranma
become "super-feminine" at the end. She's merely coming to terms with
the fact that she's a woman now and forever. In my mind, her
personality is not going to change, which is why she mentioned the
training. In a way, putting on a dress and letting Kentaro kiss her is
shock therapy; a way to force her hindbrain to realize this is
permanent.
Well, that's all I can risk saying about your post. If you want to talk
about this in a less public forum, I'm here. :)
