"I'm sorry Akane." Taking a deep breath, he continues "Maybe if I had had the
courage to fall in love with you, I wouldn't be here, now. Please don't blame
yourself for this, Akane, there's nothing you could have done to prevent it."
He turns away, and walks towards the tatami, leaving a shocked Akane behind.
As he takes his place in the centre of the tatami, the rest of the family
comes out of the house.

Perhaps you should state that this is an elseworlds Ranma story at the
start ... because that paragraph up there made me think that you have
no idea what's going on and I only skipped through the rest of the
story ... *shrug* It would have been better if you warn people at the
start that it isn't based on the 'normal' Ranmaverse ... ;p

Other than that, I can see Akane beating the hell out of Ranma when
he says that, and she wouldn't let him go through with it. But, since
Ranma's different, I guess Akane is, too ...
