I can actually see Ukyo going even further and rubbing Akane's nose in
the fact that Ranchan is with _her_, not Akane. This is not to say, of
course, that she would not regret it later.

I'm afraid I have to disagree. Shampoo or Kodachi would most certainly
gloat to Akane if they were with Ranma, but Ukyou cares too much for
Akane as a friend and Ranma as her finacee to be so cruel. I do believe
she might wait until Akane was gone and try to get the mood back again,
but she wouldn't blindly send Ranma off to find Akane just like that.
She likes Akane, but not enough to risk losing her Ranchan.

Akane comes to the door, all tears, looking to know if Ranma is there
or has been there. But of course he is, replies Ukyo, with a hint of
triumph to her voice, I am comforting him, and it is your turn to suffer. To think you of all people thought yourself worthy of him, you who give him only pain!

I think the only way she would say something like this is if Akane
caught them together before Ranma could hide and/or tried to attack
Ranma for betraying her. She wouldn't do it for spite though.

 > For Ukyo, too, there will be no forgiveness, for she has committed
the unpardonable sin of decisively driving Ranma from Akane's heart,
unpardonable because there is no repairing the damage. He strikes her
with his hand, cursing her for the heartless seductress she has played,

Ranma would NEVER strike a girl, no matter how angry or upset he was at
her. Look at all the things Shampoo, Kodachi and Nabiki do to him and
he has yet to hit them once.

This is only my opinion of course but I felt I needed to say something
about it. I like the original fanfic myself! :)
