They quickly got up to answer the door. Upon opening the door, they

gazed upon a teenage boy under an umbrella. He carried a look on his
face that no boy his age should have. Soun couldn't quite place it. But
tried to ignore the boy's ragged look and tried to speak..
	"Are you.."
	The boy bowed down. "My name is Saotome Ranma."
	A twinkle in Soun's eyes brightened and a smile crossed his face. "At
last we finally meet, son!" he started. "But.. where are your parents? I
thought that they would come with you.."
	"I'm sorry, Mr. Tendo.." Ranma began. "My parents are dead."

 well it could be interesting it gives him an american background.
Without Gemma he could just walk out on the engagment.
propably made a promise to himself to honour his dead parents last wish.
Were they killed or was it an accident.
He has no other place to go. 
Is this going to be a serious fic or is the death of his parents just to set
up a little different situation between him and Akane.
Most inportant is he still cursed.
Might make an interesting story line if he is honouring his father's dream
and is just stopping at the Tendo's home to give them the news and is going
on to Jusenkio the next day.
Might make a very interesting story if Soun decides to accompany him and
takes the girls as well.

Well anyway show where your going with this. It does open up a lot of
possipilites.
