Well, this has been sitting in the back of my cranium for way too long,
so I'd better get it out, and present it as a challenge to those who
have better writing skills as I.

Quite a long time ago, someone brought forth the idea of a Ranma 1/2 and
X-Files XOver. I've had this idea for quite a while, and would happily
write it, but my skills as a writer can be compared to Ryouga's skill as
a navigator. To put it plainly, I suck at writing, but I get so many
ideas of what to write, it drives me nuts, as I know I'm not good enough
to put it down, and make it sound good.

One of the more better ideas that I had was to put the cast of Ranma 1/2
in the roles of the X-Files cast, and have it as a comedy, and NOT a
serious fanfic. While I can be rip-roaringly funny when I want to be,
writing is something I just can't do, so I'm urging everyone on this
list to consider this idea, and try have a crack at it.

Basically, I want a take-off of the X-Files, using the cast of Ranma
1/2, just to see if it can actually be done, so I can prove to myself
that I'm not nuts. It can be in either script or paragraph format, and
can be any size you want. I have a list of the cast roles that I
thought'd be cool, should you want to use them. If you do use the cast
below, then read the little footnote that I have at the end of it. The
characters use their own names, and noone from the original XF cast are
to show up (use someone in the Ranma 1/2 cast for them). Remember that
Mulder and Scully have a tendancy to make small jokes, or sarcastic
comments a lot, when you plan out your roles.....

Here is what I have in mind for which roles the cast should have. This
is just my opinion, so all of this can be subject to change if the
author wants....:

*Ranma - (Mulder role) Japanese Federal Agent who has an interest
         in the 'X-Files', strange paranormal cases that weren't
         solved. A 'believer'. Akane is assigned to work with him,
         and he gets upset at first, preffering to work alone.

Akane - (Scully role) Assigned to be Ranma's partner. Willing at
        first, but becomes angry at Ranma's unwillingness to have
        a partner. She's also very skeptical. A 'non-believer'.
        Actually assigned to Ranma due to orders from Happosai,
        in order to give Ranma trouble in finding what he's looking
        for - The Truth

Nabiki - (Deep Throat) Secret Government Informant, who gives Ranma
         info on various cases. Ranma only knows Nabiki's first name
         and is unaware that Nabiki is related to Akane.

*Ryouga - Ranma's ex-partner

Ukyou - Haven't thought of a role yet

Soun - (Skinner) Director of Japanese feds.
Genma - (Skinner) Asst. Director of Japanese feds.
(Genma and Soun place Ranma and Akane to work with each other. Kinda
similar
to how the real Genma and Soun shoved the fiancee deal down their
throats)

Kasumi - I dunno. Maybe a secretary for Soun and Genma?

Happosai - (Cancer man) The mysterious conspirator, who orders
           Genma and Soun to pair Ranma up with Akane. He seems to be
           in charge of some shady government agency. He also orders
           Genma and Soun (who are in charge of the Japanese feds)
           around like lackeys.

Cologne - No idea

Kuno - Maybe one of Happosai's lackeys?
Kodachi - As above?

Shampoo - God knows
Mousse - You tell me?

**The Lone Gunmen roles:
(The three paranoid guys from XF):
Daisuke         - (Beyrs, the neat looking guy)
Hiroshi         - (Langly, the guy with glasses, long hair, and metal
shirts)
Gosunkugi       - (Frohike, the short photographer /w a crush on Scully)

* Ranma and Ryouga don't get along, due to that Ryouga was Ranma's
ex-partner. Whilst investigating a case in China, they both fell in the
Jusenkyo's springs when they both started fighting, and ended up
knocking each other into SOD-girl, and SOD-pig. Ryouga blames Ranma for
it, and both have promised each other not to reveal their curses.

** The Lone Gunmen are friends of Mulder, who help him now and again.
They're a pack of nerds, who own a magazine, known as THE LONE GUNMAN.
They also have access to a lot of information about past conspiracies,
and are basically, 'a mixed bag of paranoia'.

So, if anyone is willing to take this up, please mail me back, and tell
me what you have in mind. If anyone's already written a crossover
