Unfortunately, I haven't been able to write a single page since
classes started in September -- hopefully i'll get a little more
in over the break.
It doesn't halt it, but it certainly makes it more difficult. In order
to write at school, it is necessary to consciously budget time for
writing - usually on the weekends, or during any quiet lulls in the
semester. It does go slower at school than at home, simply because of
Oh, so that's how YOU do it. Usually I write when I'm supposed to be
doing homework, or at school when I'm supposed to be doing newspaper
stuff (I'm the editor of our college's newspaper), or in class when I'm
supposed to be taking notes. How does the intrepid and generally pretty
damned conspicuous Alpha c. get away with this is class? Simple. I take
all my notes on my laptop computer (well, it's not REALLY a computer,
more of a word processor with delusions of grandeur). No one can see at
an angle what I'm typing, and the teachers all think I'm busily hacking
away at my notes. I even get requests for printouts by other students,
because I type so damned much!
Of course, I only do this in my 'sleeper' classes (i.e. classes where
listening to the teacher drone is pretty much worthless ANYWAY).
