However, what about READING them? Your state of mind wouldn't
deteriorate when writing them, due to the fact that it'd have to be that
way in order to write a lemon in the first place. But when the fanfic
authors write up a lemon, could they possibly twisting the innermost
thoughts of a persons being? or am I just sprouting a load of crap just
to sound like I actually have a point to this message? Who knows? I sure
as hell don't!

Treatise on the Lemon Arts : (Lemon 101)

Lemon is a drug of a sorts.  Some people are able to resist it for
extraordinary lengths of time, holding off the uncontrollable urge to post a
lemon on the ML (who knows who writes lemons these days!), while some others
abandon all veneer of civilization and post millions of lemons on the ML.

Writing a lemon stimulates the mind and the body, bringing one closer to
enlightenment.  With every sex scene detailed in the most lurid way
possible, the initiate in the Arts of the Lemon Fic gradually builds his/her
ability to portray sexually intimate scenes without the slightest hint of
shame.  

        The first-timer usually goes through two routes : Mini lemon and
Overboard.  Mini lemon is the proverbial "testing the waters" stage, with
flat lemon scenes and little, if any, stimulation.  Overboard is the
proverbial "What the hell, just jump in and thrash about" stage, with overly
vulgar and too-explicit sex scenes with everyone, anyone and everything in
one huge orgy.

Then again, my state of mind is as twisted as a pretzel, and that was
due to drinking too much coffee, headbanging to too much Metallica and
Pantera, and playing too much Quake at unearthly hours of the night, and
reading lemons have NOTHING to do with it.

On the contrary....lemons have a subtle effect on your mind.  Soon, very
soon, you'll wake up with the uncontrollable urge to write a lemon.  It is
then that you get hooked and lemon will become a part of your waking hours,
as essential as coffee, headbanging and Quake!  BWA HA HA HA!  

BTW: I liked "Gaijin in Nerima", I almost fell off of my seat laughing
(which is a very hard thing to do, because the armrests are up so damn
high). I'm also very happy that I'm not as well known as others on the
ML, which gave me protection of being in such a fic. Damn I'm lucky
sometimes....
