ANNOUNCING FANFICTION POLL 6.7!!!
I have no problem with Jang Choe running a best anime fanfic contest.
In fact I've decided to run six major polls to determine the best of the
best this year. These polls will be based on the number of people who
liked a fanfic and want it to be nominated. I only have three
rules....
No voting on your own fanfiction ideas.
No voting for the same fic twice!
No voting for Spam or Revengefics since nobody cares about them anyway.
If no one cared about them, No one would write them...I think the
existence of the rather HUGE # of revengefics indicates it struck some
kind of chord in this community. Besides, what harm would it do? If a
story is good, it deserves a chance, regardless of whether's it's
a bit spammy...If people really don't care, they won't nominate it.
Basically, you've just said, "Fuck you and your creativty too" to a large
# of people.
So frankly, I think you have a bad attitude, so I'm putting my bad
attitude to work and boycotting your poll.

Now that I think about it, I'm afraid I'm going to have to go with Biles
on this one. The revengefics DID get out of hand (and I know I didn't
help much) but there were some good ones. I kinda liked the
counter-revenge darkfic that Nightelf wrote, as well as a few other
lighter ones, especially the more original ones. I'm not saying that a
fic should be included even if it sucked just because its an example of
the genre, but not all the revengefics sucked, so excluding them IS
rather unfair.
