Yeah. BUT that would only be reasonable if they had translated everyone
else's name to English Names:

Ryoga=Good Fangs
Ranma=Wild Horse
Akane=Scarlet (Cloud?)
etc...

SOOOOOO why the heck couldn't they have left the name of the stupid dog
