I disagree. IMHO they ancients created Ifurita and she >ended the war for them,
permently. At the end of the war they couldn't dismantle >her, due to self
defense procedures. So they had to wait until she "needed >a windup" and locked
her away.

Why was she created the way she was? I'd go for the >demented scientist theory. 

	Two flaws with this theory as I see things, first off, Ifurita describes 
herself as the most powerful of the deamon gods,which means there were others.  
Indeed there had to be other deamons because fighting them is the only way she 
could have become as powerful as she did.
	Second when she looked at the Eye of God she recalled that it was only 
halfway to completion when she was put to sleep.
