attack. First in a trilogy

	There's a fourth book out now.  This is an unusual series, 
though; book 1 is more traditional SciFi, (it reminds me of _Starship 
Troopers_), but books 2+ go into bizarre metaphysics (I'd almost classify 
book 3 as space fantasy).  I haven't read book 4, _Children of the Mind_ 
(I haven't seen it in paperback).
