Naw. Why would we women want to become men? Yech.

I've put all of my fanfics on hold. I'm trying to write a fanfic which all
of the major characters lead happy lives, with hints to the characters that
with gifts of cursed water, and acts of incidental magic, I'll write more.
Sure they make boring reading, but if crossdimentional travel is possible from
their end, the import of magic into my life would be worth it.

I've begun to wonder how many of these `punnishments' aren't wish fulfillment.

You have to ask that question? Of COURSE they're wish fulfillment. In
some cases, rather morbid wish fulfillment, but wish fulfillment
nonetheless. Besides, it gets us in touch with the characters we create,
so its a valid literary exercise (RIIIIIGHT!!)
