What I did come up with is the possibility of the character being from another
nexus universe, using wring in that universe to try and destroy this one.

Probably is the best idea for what this entire story needs, and does 
explain why the Anime/'Real' world is going at in such a fight. And this 
person is just probably sitting back laughing as two groups do all his 
dirty work for him...

A good idea, that could use some fleshing out. But it does sound good...
