"Hey Priss. Don't fall asleep on me, after all, this is for your benefit."
Hitomi said, anoyed at the brown haired singer sitting on the couch.
Priss groused, "Well, whadaya expect. This stuff is damn boring."
"Well, it's important, and it's for your benefit, after all, you have to
understand what's going on to get a good idea of what's happening."
"Great. I come here to get some revenge, and end up going back to school.
I hate studying, and this happens to be a case of excessive studying." she
complained to her red-headed companion who was standing at a whiteboard that was
now covered in several dozen notations, diagrams, and mathematical details that
Priss, at the moment, couldn't give a damn about.
"Studying is important Priss, you can't do anything unless you study.
Besides the fact that it will help you in using your new abilities, it does
stand to reason that the more you know, the more that's available to you, at
least in terms of the important details as to where you should be looking and
going. After all, we've hardly scratched the surface, although Oneiko should
have been teaching you a lot more that the basic stuff we've been begining
here." Hitomi frowned at that, had she made her elder sisters analogue too
light hearted?
"Yeah, Oneiko's been going over stuff, but I've been sort of DISTRACTED
considering what type of interest she does have in me." Priss fumed. *Damn it,
this isn't going like I thought it would, especially since I can't read her damn
mind. How come all the others can do this so easily?*
"Well, she is based upon the Oneiko I know in this dimension of the space
time continuum, so I do have a good idea of what's bothering you. But that's
besides the point. We're going off-topic here and that's going to take us in a
tangent in which we will spend another three years on, although I wouldn't mind
that so much..." Hitomi smiled suddenly at her trapped student.
"Ano...Actually, I'm just so bloody tired from travelling here in the first
place that I'm falling asleep." Priss said, hoping to end the session early,
and think of someway to get out of the agreement she had.
Hitomi smiled and pulled out a mug from one of the cabinets, "Would you
like something then? I've got Jolt as well as coffee."
Priss looked wearily at the decanter sitting on Hitomi's desk, "Is it as
strong as the brew your analogue drinks?"
"About three times that strength actually. This is a good brew that I made
here in Canada, considering how cheap the beans are."
The Jedi-singer winced slightly as she remembered the one time that she had
unfortunately taken the Chief Inspectors invitation to sit down and have a
coffee with her. Given how strong that brew was, and how much it hurt her mouth
with the shear biterness of the brew, she shuddered to think about how strong
that stuff was one the desk. SHe was surprised that the thing didn't just eat
through the ceramic. Come to think of it, both Hitomi's and the Bert she knew
would get along quite well. They were caffine addicts and addicted to work.
"Ehhh...I think I just need some sleep. Do you mind if I crash at your
appartment for a while? That is, if you have the room."
Hitomi winced a bit, "Un...Yeah, we...I have room. You can take Oneiko's
room, I haven't had the heart to clean it out yet."
Priss looked over at the red-headed researcher, "What do you mean, 'clean
it out?'"
Hitomi looked away, "That's right, you wouldn't have had any way to know
this. The Oneiko of this world died a few months ago. I haven't been able to
bring myself to clean the room out, although I should one of these days."
Priss kept her face expressionless. It explained quite a bit that had been
happening in her world, and now that she knew what was affecting the writer, she
couldn't be blamed for at least making her sister analogue happy. "I grieve for
your loss."
Hitomi nodded her thanks and said, "No problem, I'm pretty much over it
now."
*Yaright!* thought Priss, "Well, if I could have the keys, the adress, and
some money, I'll get some sleep and we could continue this in the morning."
Hitomi handed over the keys, and wrote the adress down on a map she pulled
out of her desk. "Instead of taking a cab, how about you take a motorcycle?
I've got a prototype of a new bike I'm working on, if you want to try it out."
Priss grinned.

*Well that went ok.* Hitomi thought to herself as she sipped on some of
the coffee she had just poured herself. *Priss certainly enjoys the prototype,
although she was disappointed about it being weaponless. I just hope she
doesn't speed that thing around the city, especially since that although it can
change shape, it's certainly a noticible machine in this country.*
She leaned back in her chair, enjoying the quiet, *Ah well, what else could
happen?*
At that moment, a purple light coalesced in the centre of the office, and
when it dissipated, a red-headed pigtailed girl wearing a type of Chinese
martial arts outfit appeared with a crystal held in her hand. Beside her was a
silver suit of armour with blue trim. Sitting up, Hitomi said, quite calmly,
"Would you like some coffee?"
