Ok, in case you missed it, the following is a recap of what's been happening:
I've been asked by an anonymous American anime company to get a poll on the
fans' TOP TEN Manga that they'd like to see translated into English &
published into the American comic market.
Your picks must be manga not currently released in English. If you want a
currently released manga to continue (say it stopped in the middle of the
story line & didn't pick up again, or something) than you can include those
on your list.
Please include as MUCH info. as you can regarding the manga writers or
publishers, so we can know who to go to for the rights, if the manga is
picked up. This is YOUR chance to let an anime company know what you want
as fans...it may be your ONLY chance to voice an opinion on manga
preferences.
The reason the company is remaining anonymous is so they don't influence
your answers one way or another.
This poll will be finished by WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16th.
NEW REQUEST: Please let me know the following:
1. what format you'd like to see the manga in. Do you prefer the Asian
format (softcover book form, more expensive, more storyline) or the
American format (softcover American comic form, less expensive, storyline
segmented to keep costs down).
2. Do you want to see the manga in color or black in white? Also, if the
original is not in color, and you'd like to see it in color, please
indicate this to us as well (keep in mind that coloring costs keep the
price of the manga higher than normal).
3. What is the average cost you would be willing to pay for your above
requests (keeping in mind format, and color options).
These last three questions MUST be answered in order for your vote to
count. NOTE: If you've previously e-mailed me your top ten, just include
the answers to the three questions above. PLEASE DON'T re-mail me your top
ten, as your vote has already been logged into the system.
Please e-mail me your answers privately, so as not to clutter the MLs.
Also, if someone could please copy this letter and forward it to
rec.arts.anime and rec.arts.anime.misc for me, I'd appreciate it, since I
can't seem to subscribe to them from my system.
