: Ummm, three points here. First, I am pleased about the change in the
: list. Sending C&C to the authors is actually a good way to cut down
: Spam. Second, I have sent stuff to the ML, it is easy for me to send
: stuff there. Third, I am using very good software, thank you very much.
Well, first, this ML *specifically* exist so that C&C can be done
in public, to encourage open discussion of points made in it. The
change was made to cut down the spam, not the C&C.
Second, I wasn't talking about you *personally*, but just took your
message as a prompt to vent my opinion.
Third, I wasn't talking about you *personally*, but just took your
message as a prompt to vent my opinion. ;)

: Actually, I have not seem very many, if any, examples of recieving mail
: twice. If this is my software filtering out these double messages, then
: it is something that came preset, because I have never set it. I have
: never used the reply all button, and can see no real time for me to use
: it. I guess that means that my software isn't BROKEN. Just better than
: I thought.
I wasn't talking about doubled messages, but about the fact that
messages that are directed at the original authors and only Cc-ed
to the ML turn up in my personal mail folder, as opposed to in my
FFML folder. This is not anyone's fault, but rather a problem of
*my* software here, since it does not support sorting mail by Cc:
header.
I just wanted to point out that messages Cc-ed to the ML have been
increasing in number since the change, making me think that a lot
of people who *really* want to post to the ML are to lazy to set
the To: and Cc: headers accordingly and just hit the "Reply All"
button. It's nothing that I'd get overly heated about - I just
wanted to make the point.
I hope you don't mind that I Cc-ed this to the ML again, since I
wanted to say this in public.
