There are a lot more to come...At least one for each of hte major
characters., These were just the first two that came to mind.

The mother tucked her three step-children into bed, then got out the
book of their favorite stories. "Which story would you like to hear first?"

<More of frame story to come :)>

Princess Shan-pu and the faerie prince
This whole section reminded me of The Princess Bride". There is the framework
of the fairy tales being told to the children, like the grandfather told the
child. Sorry that i'm not putting in any names, I stink with them and can't
remember. The scene with the poison fairy was exteremly close to the scene
with the leader of the kidnappers. Shan-pu beat the wicked chef fairy at her
own best ability like the hero beat the swordsman who later became his friend.
She also beat the strong kawiikune one using agility and inteligence, just like
the "giant" was beaten.

Only two things bothered me about this first one. First is the fairy prince's
father, which would make him the fairy *KING* <shudder>. The second was the
fairy prince looking like a girl when Shan-pu first saw him. It might be better
if you add a line saying that he was in disguise at the time, to allow him to
search for a bride.

Clever Nabiki and the Ogres
LOL! I just plain liked this one.

Her father said, "Can't you save your siblings as well?" Clever
Nabiki said, "I will see what I can see." She sent her servants out and
told them to tell the truth about everyone for sale. Soon, no one wanted
to buy them. She bought them all, and kept Princess Tomboy and the ogres as
her slaves. She sent Princess Half-wit to marry the sorceror, and
resolved to stay as far away from him as possible. She made the
ogre-slayers her personal guard.
Hmm, we never see what she does to the two Ogres to make them pay for what
they did, though we do see what happens to Princess Tomboy. I think a line or
two explaining their fate might be in order.

else assumed it was Princess Poison's fault. Prince Kendo chopped up
Princess Poison into kindling, and made a funeral pyre of her for
Princess Tomboy.
Princess Poison is a relative of Pinochio?
