I just figured out WHY the Mirror cracked. I'm not sure if this is the
reason you intended, but consider this:

All of the requests by the other characters had be relatively specific:
'Show me a future where Ranma and I are happily married.' However,
Akane's wish is rather nonspecific. In fact, if she had been a little
more careful, she might have actually been able to see the future she
wanted.

Let me explain. Akane asked to see a future, not where she, Ukyo,
Kodachi, Shampoo, etc. found happiness, but "where each of us does find
happiness, where we found a solution!". Basically, this could be
interpreted as EVERYONE finding happiness, meaning the entire five plus
billion population of the planet! This would be a little beyond the
mirrors capabilities, so no wonder it broke!

Just my version of this version of Rumiko Takahashi's version of
reality.
