Panzer Dragoon Legende
----
FORWARD
----
Yup, I've reposted it, partly based on that fanfic 'challenge,'
(several people talked the talk... ^_^) partly so I can curry some more C&C,
and partly to plug the semi-sequel I'm currently writing 8)
Some more notes: This fic has NOT been revised from the original
repost. A slightly revised version does exist, but it's not significantly
altered, and not worth putting up with my freenet's ardous upload
procedure. At least not yet.
I wrote this fic in August, and at the time I didn't have access
to either game. As a result, I made a few errors. Although I spelled it
'Kouriheat' in the fic, it is in actuality 'Khourieat.' Be a pal and
change it yourself, will ya? PINE is just too much of a hassle^^ I also
may have misinterpreted the design and purpose of the 'gigantic ship,' as
well as the ending to Panzer Dragoon Zwei. By the same token, some of the
cut-scenes in PDZ were.... highly bizarre, sorta like the ending to 2001.
I interpreted those the best I could.
Panzer Dragoon Legende occurs about twenty-five years after the
final battle of Panzer Dragoon Zwei, and ends right where Panzer Dragoon
picks up. Panzer Dragoon Zwei is the prequel to the original Panzer
Dragoon (Panzer Dragoon Ein if you insist).
Oh, the sequel? 8) Tentatively titled Panzer Dragoon: Alisa's
Journey, this one willl occur after the original Panzer Dragoon and be a
story that doesn't (directly) feature any of the primary charaters from
either game. You MAY be able to guess the direction I'm taking this fic
in, but if you do, please don't blurt it out. Thanks ^_-
About one month after I completed the fic, I learned that there
would indeed be a Panzer Dragoon anime. I was happy - to say the least. I
can't wait. I wonder if an anime was ever PRECEDED by a fanfic before? ^_-
Finally, if you've never played either game, I strongly recommend
you do, or at least watch someone play them. It's beautifully layed out,
with an unprecedented visual depth and breathtaking atmosphere. An
unnervingly good game. Too bad so few North American gamers payed it any
mind.
Sound familiar?
C&C requested and appreciated.
