Ok....for the last month, it seems that there has been nothing but
Ranma fics comming trhough the list, with the exception of the BGC one that
showed up recently....

There was also the Mihoshi fic a week or two ago... the latest episode of
Peter's AMG/Ranma crossover... the couple of MegaMan fics... the latest
episode of Dragon Dreams... The string of SM and SM/BGC fics Chris Davies
posted... The couple of A-Ko fics... While Ranma fics are definitely in
the majority, there are plenty of other series represented.

Always been that way, there have been a few analysis' of the
reasons behind it and such but actually the ratio has been changing in the
past few months in favor of Sailor Moon and BGC.

It seems like this discussion comes up every month or two. The best
answer I've seen to 'Why so much Ranma?' is a combination of two or three
things:

* People like to write and read what they know -- and Ranma is one of the
most popular series out there.

* Ranma is also one of the easiest series to write for -- several
characters with easy 'hooks' a writer can write from, an open-ended
plotline with lots of room to operate (unlike, say, Maison Ikkoku --
which has a pretty definite beginning and end, and not a lot of room in
between to insert stories), and a broad universe with a lot of things to
spark plot ideas.

Since this comes up so often, perhaps it should be added to the ML FAQ?
Saf? Panda?
