Forgive the spam.  

My hard drive melted.  I couldn't save it.  Stupid me has never done a
backup in his life, so I lost my OS.  I had to reinstall Windows 95 from
scratch, which means I have to reinstall *everything*.  Yuck.

I was able to save all of my email and my stories (they were on a
separate hard disk).  So I've resubscribed, and I'll be sending up a new
story here in the next couple of days.
