Just for the record:  I *like* Ukyou, and I am sincerely repulsed
by the idea that she should be married to Ranma, just because she
is pathologically fixated on him.  Jeez, you don't try to marry a
co-dependent woman to a wife-beater or a junkie to a dealer, do
you?  Just because she *thinks* she needs and loves him, doesn't
mean he is really good for her.

The same can be said for Ranma and Akane, except instead of a co-dependent
woman and a wife beater, it's a co-dependent man and a husband beater.

In Ranma, and in a lot of situation comedy in general, people do things which
in the real world would mean they have serious mental problems.  They're not
supposed to be taken that way.
