That's what I said...  I suppose its just barely possible he might call his
daughter "hime-chan", though I've never heard of it being done in
Japanese.  However, I cannot imagine any father, no matter how docile,
using the honorific "o-" when referring to his own child (and Ranma
hardly strikes me as being particularly docile, though the author does
seem to be changing his character a bit (no complaint, just observation)).
To do so would imply a sort of "inferiority"  to his daughter (for example,
notice how Akane refers to her sisters as 'oneechan', but they never
refer to her with an honorific of any sort in any circumstance.  Akane is
"inferior" to her sisters because she is younger.  I should note that I don't
know if "inferior" is the best word to use here, but a better word
escapes me at the moment).

That's all a minor quibble though.  I haven't read the second part yet, but
overall, the first part was quite good.  Really sets up interest (well, _I_
thought it interesting, at any rate).
