Author's Notes: 
 
Hi there! This is my first fanfic, so please go easy on me. Keep in mind
also that this is a rough draft. 
 
My story is kinda original, but heavily based on the anime Sailor Moon [the
DIC version mostly], and I've even used some characters from that series.
C&C majorly apprieciated. Other than that I have not much else to say. 
 
Several characters and ideas within are copyrighted by Takeuchi Naoko,
Bandai, DIC, etc. but all the rest is mine. 
 
 
CELESTIAL SENSHI 
 
Prologue- The Darkness in Starlyte... 
 
 
	The Posiverse consists of many planets and an infinet amount of stars, but
there is only one or two inhabitated planets. Back a thousand years ago
many more were populated, the main ones being the focuses of power: Earth,
Earth's Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Uranus, Neptune, Saturn,
Pluto, and the star known as Polaris. But, all that changed, and the only
focal point still inhabitated is Earth, all that remain of the others are
ruins.  
	This 'Earth' planet is the focus of this story. At this point in history
most of the many inhabitants haven't ever had contact with real magic, in
fact most don't believe it exists. It is a proven fact that it does though,
and the focuses of Earth's magic is centered around special places on Earth
that contain what is left of the old magic. One of these spots is in the
most unlikely of places, a tow called 'Starlyte'. 
	Starlyte never was a big town, not even in the distant past. The reason it
kept the magic after places lost theirs is because everybody simply failed
to notice it. Now, it is just a generic Earth city, with enough buildings
to support it's inhabitants and nothing more. Though it may not seem like
much, it has the greatest source of magic left on Earth, and it's only
chance of survival rests in the hands of six special girls, who have yet to
relise their powers.

	Nighttime in the town of Starlyte is relatively peaceful, most of the
inhabitants are early to bed, though a few do their business at night. One
of these happens to be a cat, Shadow by name. Shadow is one of the
reminants of the mpire one thousand years ago, her job is to find the
reincarnations of the past's warriors. Until tonight she hasn't had any
luck, but that is about to change. 
	As silently as her namesake Shadow slinks along the alley searching for
some sign of her goal. Suddenly, a bright flash bursts from the window of
the apartmant she is near. Shadow waits for it to fade, then leaps to the
windowsill of the apartment. 
	Inside, a teenage girl with black hair is asleep. On her forhead, a silver
symbol in the shape of a star glows brightly.  
	"So, this is one of the ones I was searching for..." Shadow muses to
herself, absentmindedly touching the silver star mark on her own forhead.  
	"The darkness is coming soon, I must awaken her now!" the cat whispers
softly to heself as she jumps off the windowsill

	The girl moans in her sleep, fighting monster in her mind, this nightmare
is the worst she has had. Filled with dark evil creatures that want to
kill, and shadows of painful memories she doesn't want it triggers her
inborn powers instinctively. Finally, she can't take it anymore and she
wakes up screaming. She takes a few deep breathes and then gets up, walking
to the window. Flinging open the window she stares at the stars waiting for
herself to calm. Unbeknownst to her, Shadow is abou to strike.  
	"It's now or never..." Shadow mumbles as she leaps inside the apartment.  
	Shadow flyes through the open window, and lands on the bed in a dazed. The
girl, startled, screams. When she realises it's just a cat and not a huge
beetle she imediatelty calms down. 
	"What are you doing you silly cat you nearly scared my to death!" she says
to the cat on her bed. 
	"I am not silly! I just wasn't sure you'd let me in!." says Shadow
indigantly.  
	The girl was shocked, to say it mildly. 
	"W-W-What? The c-c-at... It talked!" stutters the girl. 
	"Ahem. I am Shadow, guardian cat of the Celestial Empire. I saw what you
did in your sleep girl, the symbol on your forhead. This proves for a fact
the you're a guardian of Earth, miss..." Shadow says in a sootheing tone of
voice. 
	"Andromeda, my name's Andromeda Sylver..." answers Andromeda
automatically. She's still a little shock, but for some odd reason the cat
makes sense. 
	"Well, Andromeda, you are one of the guardians of the Earth. One known as
a Celestial Senshi. You'll be up against some pretty tough challanges, but
I can see there's strength in you. Now, since you have a star symbol for
you power burst, you must be Senshi Star." Shadow continues in the same
sootheing tone. 
	Shadow does a flip in the air, when she come back down there is a Sliver
star-shaped pendant on the bed. 
	"I know this is a lot to ask of you Andromeda, this is pretty shocking
stuff, but take this pendant and say 'Star Prism Power'" Shadow says. 
	Andromeda tries to tell herself she's only dreaming, but somehow to her
this seems so right.  
	She takes the pendant in one and and shouts "Star Prism Power!" 
	Instantly her body fades away, being replaced by swirling lights that
retain her body shape. In a swirl of ribbons her body is cloaked by a
silver and black bodysuit. In a burst of stars her feet gain short black
boot. In a final burst of stars her forehead gains a silver band decorated
with stars. 
	"You are now Senshi Star Andromeda, you're destiny is to protect the earth
from the darkness coming. I shall be with you to help you, and others will
come. I know this will be a great challange, but from what I've seen of you
I know that you can do it." Shadow explains. 
	Senshi Star looks herself over, again she gets the feeling that this is
what was supposed to happen. Star puts her hand to her pendant and whispers
"Return". 
	Her clothes fade back to normal and Andromeda collapses on the bed,
utterly exausted. For once she falls into a deep, dreamless sleep. 
 
*** 
 
	Black and white, good and evil, light and dark; all things must have a
opposite to exist. The Posiverse, vast though it is, has a counterpart. The
Negaverse is an alternate dimention filled with evil, just as the Posiverse
is filled with good. Unlike it's counterpart, The Negaverse has only the
mirrors of the main focal points of the Posiverse and no stars. The planets
are mostly inhabited by twisted monsters called youmas, though there are a
few rare ones who look human called Mimics. 
	Mimics are usually much more powerful than their youma counterparts. All
of them are adept at the magical arts and most attain high positions
because of this. They could pass for human but for a few things. First of
all, their body temperature is much lower, due to their emviroment, they
are always cold to the touch. Second, if they don't carefully mask it,
their blood is clearly green. Lastly, they don't act human, these Mimics
are ruthless, bloodthirsty, and almost emotionless. They share these traits
with the normal youma as well. 
 
	Each Nega-Planet is ruled by the strongest person on it, and Empress
Metallia rules over them all. Metallia is an old creature, the oldest
inhabitant of her universe. She doesn't hold all the power though, through
a battle and comprimise thousands of years ago she lost control of the
Nega-Moon to a sorceress named Beryl. What makes this so important is that
it is the most powerful spot in the Negaverse. 
	Beryl rules over the Nega-Moon and parts of Nega-Earth, calling her domain
'Dark Kingdom'. She is ruthless and harsh in her rule, but she hold so much
power no one dares usurp her. It is said that she isn't youma or ****,
she's half human/half youma.  
	In appearance she looks most like a woman in her mid-twenties, with long
red hair. That's where the human side ends, she's unattuarlly tall, has
blazing orange eyes, fangs, and horns growing out of her shoulders. An
unnatuarl combination that puts most people off guard.  
	Beryl has a guard of the best Mimic warriors Nega-Earth has to offer, as
well as a large army of youma at her command, and almost infinate magical
spells. These factors would place the newly-awakened Senshi at a supereme
disadvantage were it not for the seal. One thousand years ago the dieing
ruler of the Celestial Empire sealed all the portals to and from the
Negaverse. The seals have held up for one thousand years, but they are
begining to weaken around the power spots. Just one month ago one of
Beryl's generals found a small opening in the portal near Stonehenge, but
he was twarted by a mysterious girl solider named 'Senshi V'...

	In a room in Queen Beryl's stronghold Jadeite is scanning for weak spots.
Jadeite was the general that opened a portal a month ago, but he was driven
back by Senshi V and the portal was destoryed. He has been screaching
non-stop for another portal, so that he may redeem himself. Beryl's temper
is legandary, and most people who find themselves in her disfavor wind up
crystalized. Jadeite seems to be an average human, he's not too tall and
his short blond hair and mellow voice would make him quite attractive to
most human females. If they didn't look in his eyes. His eyes are a deep
icy blue, and if his doesn't mask them well they radiate a bone-chilling
cold. Even masked, anyone looking too closely at them would feel a chill.  
	Jadeite runs a physic scan of the Earth one last time, searching for a
buildup of power somewhere. Finally, something catches his attention, a
small unnoticed spot. This spot seems to have an enormous power build-up,
and a leakage that would allow a two or three person portal. 
	"Why didn't I notice this before?! Maybye that's the intended effect, to
make it unnoticable. Well, this will get me out of Beryl's disfavor for
sure... It seems it's the human town called 'Starlyte'. A perfect place to
gather energy for the invasion! And no pesky Senshi to bother me this
time!" Jadeite thinks. Then, with visions of an easy conquest, he breaks
into manical laughter. A youma lizard that was passing by was frozen solid
by the sound.
