  "Good evening.  Tonight on Foreign Correspondent we put
the big three of Genom, USSD and Kuryu under the microscope.
 
  "Three large scale boomer attacks in the last two weeks
have left major dents in the cities industrialised zones as
well as a heavily populated civillian shopping area.  Is the
AD Police doing their job properly? or are these big
multinational conglomerates playing covert war games in our
own backyard?  Jana Wendt reports;
 
  "Two of the last three boomer attacks have involved some,
of what appears to be on all accounts, new technology in
boomer design.  Two weeks ago, Kuryu reported a large
shipment of military paradigms stolen during transport from
Saigon to the Republic of Victoria for use as weapons in the
war on the Monarchistic state of New South Wales.
 
  "Standard C55 boomer attacks have become somewhat blase,
here in MegaTokyo that was, until the modified military second
level paradigms showed up on the streets of MegaTokyo.  Suddenly
the last two large boomer related incidents have involved both
Genom manufactured C55 boomers and modified Kuryu military
paradigms.  Conicidence or covert war?  The stolen paradigms
were headed for Victoria, home to one of Kuryu's Reasearch
and Developement labs.  New South Wales, the other side in
the war houses both Genom and USSD offices.  MegaTokyo
houses all three, and the situation may be close to its
bubblegum crisis.
 
  "It has often been alluded that the mercenary group known
as the Knight Sabers is in fact a part of Genom and are used
purley as a foil for public relations purposes and rogue
boomer control.  For most ocurrances of boomer
rampages the Knight Sabers have been known to show up well
in advance of the AD Police to remove them.  The AD Police
have never been close to bringing in any one of their members.
                                                     
  "From security camera footage obtained from the last major
boomer destruction that occured just a few days ago, it would
appear Kuryu have deployed a new kind of superpowered
paradigm, one that analysts are calling a third level
paradigm, to clean up its own lost and rogue property.
 
  "One can only speculate as to what may happen now if
a group of these new superpowered paradigms were to be at
the flash point with the Knight Sabers.  Appart from USSD's
orbiting laser satellite, there is the very disturbing
rumour of what is codenamed the "Battlemover", stay tuned
tomorrownight when we take a close look at the AD Police
and their effectives or lack thereof."
