I have to side with George Mori here, and say that the drug use
(apart form Kodachi's spiked food) was rather unneccessary and
killed the mood for me, at times. I think you could cut it
without altering the fic in any way.
As for the hundreds of sexual encounters - I think that people
read George's mail wrong; He didn't mean to cut the lemon scenes
out of the description, but wondered about the fact that Ranma
claimed to have had sex with hundreds of girls, all the way into
China and back again. Hell, that boy is sixteen! *I* hadn't
bagged hundreds of girls when I was sixteen - dammit, I haven't
bagged hundreds of girls by now! Now, you can tell me what you
want, but losing one's virginity in junior highschool isn't really
the *rule*.
If the amount of sex was reduced to just the sexual encounters
that are *described* (i.e. that with the other main characters)
and a few hinted at for "experimental purposes", I would be able
to suspend my disbelief.
Finally, I *hated* the "Ranma as cynic macho jerk" angle, but you
couldn't have the neat redemption scene at the end without it.
Overall: Severely OOC, but what the hell. :)
