people treat Ranma, and the expectations made of him (for example, even
though I said there were no examples in the anime, Akane berating Ranma
for being topless).  Conforming is inevitable, and it might be interesting
to see Ranma unconsciously conforming to expectations, hating himself when
he catches it, but still conforming.

way, I don't particularly care which way the author pics. And honestly, 
since some of the worst examples I've seen (like Heinlein's _I Will Fear 
No Evil_) blithely assume that when person x's personality is placed in 
body y, person x will automatically assume the nature of body y, I tend 
to view that as the biggest 'cop-out' position.

And I view that as the most realistic ^_^.  I'd go into detail but this is
