Dear Diary:

Today was the last day of school.  Ranma walked beside me to school!
I'm glad he did, it meant a lot to me that he didn't walk on the
fence.  The graduation cermony is tomorrow and I'm glad we could have
a nice walk to school.  You know, diary, Ranma sure has changed this
past year.  After I was poisoned by that demented amazon, Ranma has
treated me differently.  The hentai still picks on me, but apologizes
right away, usually.

Our parents want us to get married right after graduation.  How could
they?  I will marry who _I_ want to marry!  Oh diary, you know what
I'm trying to say.  It will be two months tomorrow since Ranma told
me that he cares for me.  I waited so long for that and now I'm
worried about getting married.  Do I really love Ranma?  I think so,
diary.  I just wish I wasn't being forced into marriage.  One of
Nabiki's friends "had" to get married this past year.  Is this going
to be the same type of thing?  Having to get married, for whatever
reason, and spending the rest of my life with that person?  Well, if
it's Ranma, I think I can go along with the marriage.

Nabiki is at college and I want to go, too.  I'm thinking of majoring
in drama.  If we get married, would I still be able to attend
college?  Or am I going to have to stay at the dojo as an obediant
"wife?"  No, I'm going to college, because _I_ want to!  If Ranma
wants to go with me, then fine!

Diary, Ranma just knocked on the door, I'll tell you about what he
wants later.

Dear Diary:

I hate him!  He just walks in here and tells me that he's going to
get married in a couple of days!  That spineles jerk!  He's letting
them force him into marrying Akane!  After Shampoo tried to kill
Akane, Ranma acts all stupid and crazy around her!  I'm sorry for
yelling, diary.  He just makes me so mad!

I guess I'm jealous of Akane.  For the  past year, Ranma has been
acting extra nice to Akane.  She would still yell at him and beat him
up.  Until recently, that is. The jerk wore her down!  Why couldn't
he pay attention to me like that!  I've ALWAYS loved him!  Why did he
choose that tomboy over me?  She can't even COOK!

He says that, tonight, he's going to ask her if she really wants to
marry him.  The idiot is going to propose to her!  And he tells ME
first!  Oh diary, why can't it be me and not her?

I'm sorry, diary.  I'm crying so much that I can't see to write, so
I'm going to go to bed.

<Dear Diary:>

<Mousse told me that Ranma and Akane are getting married in two days.
I wish it was me that he was going to marry.  It's all my fault, I
forced Ranma away and into Akane's arms.  He hasn't talked to me
since the doctors discovered that Akane had been poisoned.  I had
hoped that he would forgive me, but that never happened.>

<Mousse reminded me of my promise.  I've thought of that promise
every day since I made it.  "I promise to renoumce any claim to Ranma
Saotome and will not interfere in his choice of wife."  If I didn't
make that promise, Nabiki would have notified the police and I would
have gone to jail or been deported.

<Mousse has been very helpful.  He never betrayed me, was always
there when things started to become overwhelming.  I just wish he
would say that he loved me.  He hasn't said that for so long.>

<I'm going to ask great-grandmother if we can go back home.  There's
nothing here, except failure and pain.>

Journal of Saotome Ranma


Walked Akane to school for the last time.  We graduate tomorrow.

Talked to school counselor about college.  The entrance exams will be
next month.  I'm planning on majoring in Phys. Ed. with a minor in
teaching.  That should help the dojo and get as far away as possible
from mother and pop.

Uncle Soun gave me his wife's wedding ring and said that it was for
the wedding in two days.

Stopped at Uc-chan's and told her about the wedding.  I also told her
I wanted to make sure Akane wasn't being pressured into marrying me,
like last time, and that I was going to ask her tonight.  I was ging
to show her hte ring, but I could tell that she was getting perturbed
at me.

Asked Akane if she really wanted to go through with the wedding.  I
guess I proposed and she said yes.

Didn't change into a girl.
Didn't get into a fight, even with Akane

Overall rating for the day, Perfect.

Dear Diary:

HE PROPOSED!  He asked me if _I_ wanted to marry _HIM_!  I was
shocked at first, but when he showed me the ring...  It was mother's
ring.  I said yes, diary.  I didn't really want to admit that I had
feelings like this for Ranma, but when he looked at me I couldn't
help but start crying.  And then, he said that he LOVED me!  He loved
ME!  Not Ukyo or anyone else, but ME!  It took me so long to say yes,
I thought he was going to leave.  I just couldn't bear that. I'm glad
he asked me, I wanted my marriage to have meaning, not just a
ceremony with a katana at your back.  He kissed me before he left.
It was even better than when he said that he cared for me and then
kissed me.  His arms are so strong, I didn't want him to stop or let
go. I'm going to try and sleep, but I don't think I'll be very
successful.
