Hello there!  We here at the Slashtooth Review offices have been busy
job hunting and work at a new job, so haven't had time to do C&C
recently, but here we go!  Ridgewolfe is VERY busy, so his responses are
very short.  Therefore, I am going to do the reviews for the Fanfics
myself this time.

First on the list is Alterations, an interesting look into a more serene
meeting between Ranma and Akane.  There were only a couple of spelling
errors, and the characters are in character for the change in the
origins of this story.  It would be interesting to see more in this
series, but I get the feeling that there would be a lot less of the
slapstick comedy that makes Ranma 1/2 the entertaining series that it
is.  Overall, It's a good one to read, but only if you can handle more
rational characters in the Ranmaverse.

Next comes the Bubblegum Collision series, a six part story.  At first,
I thought it was going to be another 'Introduce a new person, make them
the most powerful force on the planet, and the hero's need her to win'
situation, but the Author did an excellent job in keeping the power
level of the new person on par with the Knight Sabers.  Of course, for
the crime of hurting nene, the Author must pay dearly, but that is
because I am a guy, and, well, she IS cute......  Anyway, after
finishing this story, I could feel the emotions.  Very well done. 
Hoping to see more of your work.

Next on our list was a Chrono Trigger story that was untitled.  Through
no fault of the authors, I have not read the story.  I played Chrono
trigger, and I am so fed up with the game, I have decided to read it
later.  Once again, it may be good, I just feel that I cannot give a
good review of it right now.

Next comes Dear Diary, an interesting account of a day in the Ranmaverse
characters Lives.  The Author has a good insight into the characters,
and did them proud with this short story.  The only thing that could
make the story better is if the day was written out, and then seeing the
Diary entries to get the full impact of the emotions that they were
feeling.

Next:  Power, part one of Three by John Biles.  This story, read on it's
own, left me a little empty.  I know the Wheel of Time world (I read the
first three books) and I know Ranma, but of course, I also think that
there needs to be an intro story to this (Actually, I know there is one,
but someone forgot to mention it in the story) so that the reader can
learn exactly who and how everyone got to be where they are and why
people know them.  If you know the WoT world and Ranma 1/2 well, it
could be good reading.

Next comes Nemesis.  All in all, the Nemesis character was too vague.  I
couldn't get into the fight scenes.  Nemesis seemed to be just another
practice dummy for Ranma.  Nemesis needed better character development. 
All in all, this Fanfic left me with a sense of wasted time.  I got
nothing out of reading it.  With a rewrite and more character
development, this fic could be good.  The interplay between Ranma and
Ukyou is a tad transparent.  One can tell that you are a BIG Ukyou
booster, maybe even moreso than Zen.  Rewrite the conversations, make
them smoother and more balanced, with a touch of the insanity that
always seems to follow Ranma and crew, and it will be a lot better to
read.

Next, Beserker.  It seemed to be a Fill in the blank Author in the fic
story.  The only difference is that you(the author) doesn't get a Tendo
daughter for your own at the end. :)  Too much generalization, too
little interest in the story caused from skipping many parts, characters
seeming wierd (Akane never forgets anything, just interprets some things
wrong) made for a story that got skimmed more than read.

Next, Scoop of the Day.  Very good job bringing Noriko back into line
concerning her Jouralistic integrity.  I was worried there for a bit. 
The Main Ranma characters had more to do in Part four, letting us die
hard main streamers feel better, and the new martial arts style was very
inventive.  I would have loved to see a stapler attack, though.  'Now
that you're pinned to the wall, Take this!'  (Proceedes to write a
scathing review of the fight on Ranma's shirt)  Eagerly awaiting Part 5.

Next, 100 Yen and Change.  For me, not knowing Futaba, it seemed to be a
wierd little setup.  nabiki seems to have found a challenger for her
'Queen of the Deal' title, and a fic of the two of them trying to
outdeal the other would be grand, IMHO.  I guess I need to further
branch out in my Anime watching and reading, huh?

Wow,  that was a lot.  Alas, that is all for now.  I need to go to a
friends place, and then get some sleep.  Job hunting is a pain in the
expressive deleted.  Too bad I can't get paid for C&Cing.  Well, good
