       If neither is the case, then the female Ranma
wouldn't become 'fertile' (i.e. an egg in place to
fertilize) for some 21 days or so.  This would kinda
slow down the story a bit.

       Of course, you know all this becomes an esoteric
exercise if 'magic' is used for pregnancy.  But then, doesn't
it always.

Look, forget that biology crap and just write that fanfic if any of you want
to.  This is fantasy world, you can do anything.  Like, who would see Arnold
be pregnant in real life? 
Although that above, orginal statement gives me an  idea for a fic......
