I assumed an adult would have figured out this stuff that I at my young
age have already realized.
You've missed a vital point though. Maybe in a few years you'll get
it!! ;-)
Why not just tell me for god's sake!

Okay. Australians like to make fun of others. It's an Australian thing.
We all make fun of everyone, even each other, in a light hearted manner.
But since a lof of people don't understand Australian humour, they get
all upset and act like you are acting in this post.

More smart-assedness! And I don't think you even seem very smart
when you do it!

Whereas Australians find his comments funny, and they usually laugh
harder when someone replies like this... It's funny like 'You're on
Candid Camera' is funny, sort of - it's a 'Haha! You fell for it!'
kind of funny for most Australians.

"harassment". We view the poor victims-types who cry in anger and
denial as total idiots who are there for our amusement.
so when people get insulted, it's funny?
that's what I used to think, too.

point your irc client at anime.terratron.com.
i had your viewpoint about IRC, and that viewpoint guided
my actions. My favorite trick was sending people a "great anime
pic" that turns out to be a picture of the fattest chick you ever
saw. It's hard to understand how bad the pic is until you've
actually seen it, so if you say "it couldn't be that bad," then
I know you haven't seen it. In addition, I liked to insult people,
impersonate them, kick and flood them, and more!

Ah, but it's one thing PERSOANLLY insulting someone and insulting a
whole country. I never abuse a person, singling them out and then making
fun *of* them ... Most Australians are like this, too. We make fun of
groups, or cultures, etc. That's why Blonde Jokes, Irish Jokes, Scottish
Jokes, NZ Jokes, Catholic Jokes, Catholic Priest Jokes, and even Australian
Jokes are very popular over here.

now 75% of the server's population despises me, including our
FFML moderator. gee, it's not so amusing anymore.

Well, it's possibly because you a) insulted people seriously (not in a
light hearted manner), b) you insulted people personally, c) you went
overboard in your insults, or a combination of above.

Feel free to keep on denying all the claims you've read and to
burst into tears, etc. It'll only encourage us anyway!! ;-)
don't mock me.

You saying this just would cause most Australians to laugh harder...
It's a cultural thing. Australians find the 'Feel free to keep on denying
all the claims...' comment hilarous, and then your reply would cause
most of them to laugh even harder.

You can't change an entire culture of people just by your personal
experience with things since you're not of that culture. What you did
isn't culturally ingraned into you, and, from what you said, your
'insults' were aimed at a specific person. This isn't Australian humour
nor what I, P-word, Kergma or Martin (who you quoted) were doing. Some
of you may get riled because we're insulting your country, but not a
specific person. If we were insulting you, personally, say making fun
of how you look of how you type ... that wouldn't be funny. We wouldn't
laugh at a flame back. But we're insulting a *COUNTRY* for kamisama's
sake! Someone getting pissed off because we insult a *culture* or
*country* IS funny to most Australians!

How to be a net.Dick Lesson #1:--------------------------------
"Feel free to keep on denying all the claims you've read and to
burst into tears, etc. It'll only encourage us anyway!! ;-)

*smirk* It's a funny, true comment, the above. But your 'How to be a
net.Dick Lesson #1' is a PERSONAL attack on Martin. I didn't see Martin
typing 'How to be a complete bastard:' above what you typed. You should
not personally attack people just because they typed something you
didn't like - THIS is why '75% of the server's population' despises
you.

But I got a laugh out of reading your reply, especially your hypocritical
ending. In a flame AGAINST insulting a culture, *YOU* insulted someone
*personally*! *smirk* That's funny.

'Don't mock me' you said... How can we not when you're such a hypocrit?

Kun-chan...
