Just a few thoughts concerning the rush to produce
the definitive 'Ranma is Pregnant' fanfic.
        1. Has it ever really been established that when
Ranma turns into a girl he gets all the right equipment
to even *get* pregnant. I mean, is the transformation
more than skin deep? I know other writers have taken
the position that the female Ranma, at least, has all
the physical attributes of a regular female but has never
really approached what is going on inside her.

I don't think it's ever been established. It's sorta like the
nature of the cursed pools and the inner workings of the curses - it's up to
the fanfic writer's discretion. I assume he's biologically completely
female, but as for what _that_ mean, well, I dunno...

        2. The basic biology of the female that produces
conditions permitting pregnancy would argue that either
Ranma turns female in a highly 'fertile' state (thereby
bypassing all normal physiological conditions of ovulation
ect.); or the male Ranma, somehow, continues the basic
monthly cycles of a female even when he isn't.
If neither is the case, then the female Ranma
wouldn't become 'fertile' (i.e. an egg in place to
fertilize) for some 21 days or so. This would kinda
slow down the story a bit.

I never really thought of that... for what I'm writing, I'm
assuming he just happened to be in a fertile state. A bit contrived,
perhaps, but without it a big part of the story'd be missing.

Sorry for the interruption. Do go back to writing now.

	'kay.
