HI! (As the subjects says.) I'm new here on the Mailing List, although
a few of raam's GRITters know me. I'm Jorge Pratt, alias TerBril, and
author of "The Four Birds of Fire" and "The Dragon's Bride." I finally
got the chance to join the ML. It's nice to see some familiar faces
here, like Kun-chan and P-word.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that my current Ranma Fanfic, the 2.3 Mb
monstrosity called "The Caller's Plight," is nearly over (I'll finish
this weekend,) and I'll begin posting it here in about a week (in
sections, of course ^_^)
What is it about? Well, TCP is the long-expected (and long-written)
sequel to last year's TFBOF. Basically, it's a character drama which
involves most of the series' cast and a few original characters. If you
read TFBOF, you'll probably expect TCP to be another Ranma/Final Fantasy
crossover. It is. Don't worry, for those unfamiliar with the Squaresoft
Final Fantasy series and Chrono Trigger(which is also included) I deal
with those games' storylines as if they were brand new to the reader, so
anyone can just jump in and read.
For those of you who _didn't_ read TFBOF, I'll send a synopsis
tomorrow. In short, it's about the girl who drowned in Nyannichuan and
_how_ she drowned, then what happens when somebody comes looking for her
1500 years later... You know what _that_ means. However, I set the story
_before_ volume 34's events, so there's still a bit about Ranma telling
the truth to Nodoka, a trip to Jusenkyo, the return of Herb and the
like, although the main story revolves around Ranma's _SIBLINGS_.
TCP is, as mentioned, the sequel. Yes, it begins where the first left
off. Yes, it has the characters going to some faraway land to save
Creation. Yes, a lot of people die (original characters, thankfully.)
Yes, I'm just filling space here.
Anyway, all this was to say that if anyone wants to join my two
proof/prereaders (thanks, Louis-Phillippe and Patrick,) there's still
time before I begin posting next week. And since I'm dealing with a
female main character, ladies' comments would be appreciated. (BTW,
Kun-chan, as soon as I end this I'll begin writing that Ryouga-based
fanfic I promised you.)

The TerBril
(who is finally here!)
