   I was going to do one.  Sequel to Childhood's End.  But I kept
   coming up with serious ideas.

A serious treatment (not dark, and of course leavened with some humor)
would be fine, I'd say; having children is a serious subject, after all.

   I may yet do it.

One suggestion: rather than obsessing on avoiding hot water, through
the magic of the curse just have the pregenancy on hold while he's
male.  So it'll be 9 months as a woman, not 9 months calendar time
(although I'd imagine he'd not want to drag it out).
