Not quite.  Childhood's End was evil beyond measure :)
This story had problems, but it wasn't wretched.

on their "Star Trek" blinders when reading my fanfic.  Alas that I was

The internet is way more picky than the general reading public.  Any 
idiot can pick up a book or a magazine.  You've got to clear a few 
hurdles just to get into this race...
