Have you seen the covers to the Japanese manga? It has Ranma-chan with
black hair. Ok, I'm not going into this color thing, but anime does tend
to make characters look funny with weird hair colors and eye colors.

Well, Mihoshi has manga where Ranma-chan is pictured with RED hair on the
cover as well.  So... does it really matter?
