They are spelled in katakana, which is the symbol set that teh japanese use
for spelling words adopted from other languages, or for emphasis, in much
the same way that we use italics.

        Hmmm...we do adopt words in Vietnamese...and we put so much
tonal accent on it that its origin is hardly recognizable.
