        Gee, just the way I like it.  Interesting.  Looks like a fic to me
though I couldn't classify it as a *fan*fic since I'm not sure what it
is based on.  Nice little philosophical discussion though.

The Becoming

"Coffee?  Ugh.  I hate that stuff.  Tastes like garbage."
"Yeah, I know.  Here.  Scoop some sugar in, and it won't be so bad."
He stirred his coffee idly.
"This doesn't change anything, does it?"
"Huh?  Sure it does.  The sugar covers up the flavour of the ..."
"No, not that."
"Oh.  Well, in that case, no.  Nothing's changed."
"I was afraid of that."
"Well, now all we have to do is find some sugar for it.  Kill the flavour,

like the coffee."

"Yeah."
He paused.
"Now all we need to find is a bag of sugar big enough."
