I use the PICO editor in my UNIX acct, and also the DOS editor.
Using those almost guarantees that EVYERONE can read your stuff
without it turning into scattered lines and crap.

I use WordPerfect 5.1, and save the 'fic as a text file.  I don't have 
problems with line breaks, or apostrophes, or anything else for that matter.
