Hello again, and welcome to Slashtooth's Review offices! Here are
todays reviews!

Slashtooth: Hello. I would like to introduce the newest member of our
reviewing offices, Ridgewolfe, Part time author and general nusiance.

Ridgewolfe: I am not a nuisance! Well, ok, maybe, but only on days
with an 'P' in them.

Slashtooth: And now, here is the first story of the day, a re-review of
Nabiki: New Horizons.

Ridgewolfe: I was impressed with this one. The fact that Jeff seemed
to react to things as an american made it feel more realistic.

Slashtooth: I too liked this story. The author took up an immense
challenge when he started writing it, and has done an excellent job.
The fact that Jeff does not seem to be overly powerful, and yet is not
some wimpy pushover either, makes for a better, well rounded story.

Ridgewolfe: Very true. I liked the way Jeff always seemed to turn
situations to the side, making people underestimate him.

Slashtooth: In the previous review, I made mention of several plot
devices that mysteriously popped in. After reading Part one (I read
them out of order), I can see that most of them were not the instant
plot cure I thought they were. There are still one or two, but that few
can be expected.

Ridgewolfe: You read them out of order? Idiot! That spoils most of
the fun of the story!

Slashtooth: Sorry! Anyway, I give this work, Nabiki, New Horizons, A
thumbs up.

Ridgewolfe: As do I. Well done, and Part three should be excellent.
Next on our agenda, "Hold On". I liked the attempt at looking into a
possible future between Kasumi and Dr. Tofu(I assume).

Slashtooth: Yeah, but all through the 'fic, I got the feeling that
there was something missing. I mean, sure, they were married, but what
happened to the emotions that they both had? It seemed so, well,
sterile.

Ridgewolfe: Well, I could easilly see Kasumi comparing everything she
did against what she remembered of her mother, but I thought that the
two of them knew each other better than that. Also, Kasumi was always
borrowing books from Dr. Tofu. She should have known what he was
talking about during the discussion of how his day went.

Slashtooth: WEll, I give this fanfic an 'A' for the attempt, but must
give a thumbs down overall.

Ridgewolfe: I give it a tentitave thumbs up.

Slashtooth: Well then, on to our next fic, entitled Jinxed. It was a
great little romp, but seemed to be rather shallow overall.

Ridgewolfe: It seemed to be a standard 'Let's fight everyone' story.
The fight scenes went well, but the overall story seemed to be a little
lacking. Nothing else caught my interest.

Slashtooth: Well, I don't know about that. I thought that it was a
good romp, easily something you could have seen as an episode. Not
bad. Thumbs up.

Ridgewolfe: Well, the fight scenes were nice, but the story seemed
plain. Thumbs down.

Slashtooth: Our next Fanfic, Vision, both Ridgewolfe and I have decided
to let it slide. It bounced us around so much we began to feel ill.
Without having read any of the other Ranma 2096 stories, this one seemed
to be, well, bad.

Ridgewolfe: I couldn't finish it without reading something else first.
Well, now onto the next story, Replica.

Slashtooth: Ugh. That one was nasty. Almost as nasty as 'Ranma: Bits
and pieces'. My printer still smells of death and blood from printing
that one up.

Ridgewolfe: Can we say off the deep end? Ryoga really flipped out in
this one. Then again, he always did have an, well, interesting way of
viewing the world. A good story, but not graphic enough.

Slashtooth: Not graphic enough?!?!? What do you mean? ... Oh, I get
it, you hentai.

Ridgewolfe: Not at all! I just thought the whole fanfic should be more
graphic! Thumbs up here.

Slashtooth: Thumbs up from me as well. Our last Fanfic fo rthe evening
is 'Wishful Thinking'. An intriguing little crossover of AMG and
Ranma. The humor was there, as well as the violence.

Ridgewolfe: I liked it, especially the parts about the 'Golf Club' and
the crispy panda. I also thought the Graph bar was a nice touch. I
didn't like the 'Instant cure' solution, but then I have never liked
easy fixes.

Slashtooth: Forgive that Baka, but he has never seen AMG< and has no
idea what he is saying. A thumbs up from me!

Ridgewolfe: Well, forgive me! Thumbs up here as well. That's all the
time we have, so untill next time, Happy reading!

Slashtooth: And keep the mailbox open for us.

We here at the Slashtooth Reviewing studios feel that our policy on
reviewing Fanfics should be explained. We take the stories we recieve,
place them in one directory, and go through them alphabetically.
therefor, some Fanfics will take longer to get to, simply because of the
name. Also, if a Fanfic is only on part one, we will hold off judgement
untill two or three parts are out. That way we can make better informed
decisions. If you haven't seen your fanfic here, mail us a copy via
private Email, and we will try to get to it A.S.A.P. Thank for your
time, and we will see you later!
