When Ryouga first learned it, Ranma tried to learn it as well.  He had
limited success, doing the 'lesser' version of the SSH.  After a while, he
switched over to the Moko.... somethinorother... MTB.  Ryouga went on to
perfect the technique (the blast field is a full 360 degrees around him
when the SSH is at it's most powerful).  This particular trick, Ranma
never learned how to do.  But then, he's got the Hiryuu SHouten-ha...

Ranma can't do the SSH well, because he doesn't get depressed. It is 
fueled by depression, and Ranma is usually not depressed.  Moukou 
Takabisha is fueled by confidence, so it is perfect for Ranma.
