Replica seems to have flared up a fair bit of emotion around here.
Everybody either loves it or hates it, which is fine.

When I wrote this fic, I didn't really think too much about the
deeper meaning of it. I just wrote it as a tale decrying the evil
of rape, nothing more, nothing less.

However, others have read far more into it than I ever intended and
I'm pleased that people thought about it. Several people have said
that, to their minds, Ryouga wins in the end because he ruins all
their lives. This is true in a way, but it was not my intent. Ryouga
dies a slow and painful death as punishment for his crime. I would
have thought that a father dying by his son's hand would make that
death that much more painful, particularly since after Ryouga did
what he did, he had to run away and could never live a normal life
as a result. Yes, Ryouga ruined Ranma and Akane's lives, but he
ruined his own in the process.

I guess the point is that it means something different to everyone who
read it, and I'm glad. If a story makes people think, then it's done
it's job. I know a lot of people didn't like it and I'm sorry if I
offended anyone, but I felt that it was an idea that needed doing.

P-word.
