Chi is usually defined as "Inner Force" Think of it as a manifestation of
ones will. (Most of the time) the ability to manipulate chi comes from
heavy martial arts training. As to what chi can do, depends on who you talk
to about it. In other words, just about whatever you want it to do.
Chi isn't just in living things either. The chinese believe that chi is in
everything. Good chi=good fortune, Bad chi=bad fortune. The idea of chi
gets a bit more complex that that(like how geomancers can alter chi flows),
but thats the basic idea.
2. Ki. I know little about Chi but Ki know nothing of. I have seen it in a
few fanfics. Same basic questions arising. What is ki and how can characters
gain the power to use it.
Same thing as chi really. Just limited to people only.
3. Special attacks in Ranma. I know enough about the characters in Ranma to
try at a fic. I shouldn't have any problems with that, but I know a (drum roll
please) total of 3 attacks from the Ranma-verse. Shadow Fog, Shishi Hakoadon,
and Happo Fireburst (Yes I know I spelled them wrong.) Some Ranma crazed fan
please update me. I need the name of some attacks, who uses it, and a short
description of what it does.
Tenshin Amaguriken(Ranma) fhuge number of high speed punches. Owie.
Mouku Takabisha(Ranma) Chi sphere based on confidence.
Hiryu Shotenha(Ranma) Not quite sure exactly what this one does. I've seen
a few differing discriptions of what it does. Wind blast basically.
Blasting point(Ryouga) Disrupts the chi of a rock. Rock goes piff.
Shark Fist(Cologne) Projected blast of water.
Thats all I can think of. I know Cologne knows a bunch more, I'm just
unsure of what their names are.
Out of curiousity, could anyone provide translations for Ranmas 3 moves?
4. Crossover magical abilities. Say a hardened black belt in some form of the
martial arts from our universe gets somehow sent somewhere where magic
exists... Does this person suddenly gain great power because he is a skilled
martial artist, or is he doomed to never have the joy of throwing fireballs?
Depends on what you want really. Magic and Chi are two different things IMHO.
