Perhaps, but I still think some people are sorta overreacting. It's not as
if
we're looking at Playboy in church; it's more like we're telling jokes in
the
cafeteria. Sure, the idea behind the cafeteria is that we all sit down and
eat,
but it's a social atmosphere. I think we can forgive a bit of irrelavence.
I believe we can drop the examples now. They're all misleading. I don't
mind "a bit." "A bit" works just fine for me. But "a lot," is a different
story. "A lot" is what we have.
I will gladly go and hit delete for something that doesn't concern me (then
again, alot of things don't concern me), I can take it. But when nine-tenths
of my mailbox go into the wastebasket, I know something's up.
On one hand I (and I think a few others) won't tolerate spam, at least not in
large quantities. On the other, I don't want another version of RAAC. If
you can all find a balance between the two extremes, then I think we can drop
this debate and hope no one provokes someone to pick it up again.
