(SUR)REAL WORLD: SEASON 2!

The requirements: a fair mix of women and men, as close to an
even split as possible. Only one character per series.

AND THE NOMINEES ARE:

Shutaro Mendou (URUSEI YATSURA): one of the characters that I was
-really- wanting to use originally. He's cool, that's all there is to it.

He could work out rather well; somehow I keep thinking of the chapter
where the gang visits the it's-free-if-you-eat-everything hotel buffet on
the beach, where he ends up paying for everyone's meal...

Just be careful of the ramifications of the rich-guy status.

Tenchi Masaki (TENCHI MUYO): well known character, nice guy, got the
multiple love interest syndrome, and has cosmic powers. A popular choice,
although personally I'm not sure if he'd be an easy fit.

I can think of a couple of interesting ideas to use with him (house
councillor, anyone? He's certainly had the experience in coping with a
crowd of... rather *strong* personalities...). But overall, it's his role
as catalyst to the rest of the TM gang, and I'm not sure how well he'd do
without it.

Mihoshi (TENCHI MUYO): ditzy blond galaxy police officer. IMHO, a near
perfect fit.

Yes. :)

Mr. Yotsuya (MAISON IKKOKU): see Shutaro Mendou. =)

Hmmm. He would certainly be interesting, but honestly, the Loon Squad is
a unit; I'm not certain how well they could be split up. OTOH, there are
some interesting possibilities -- imagine Yotsuya 'volunteering' the
house as the central party area for the Squad...

Skuld (Oh! My Goddess!): a girl with a mallet. 'nuff said.

I dunno; you've already used Urd, and IIRC Skuld wasn't too thrilled with
the idea when she saw it.

Uh-oh. I just had a completely warped and totally off-the-wall idea. What
would you think of a non-anime crossover? Could you imagine Patrick
McGoohan living in that house? <evil g>
