The acolyte entered the clearing of the zoo.

A large dusty table filled the space, scarred and dirty, 
moldering food overflowing with buzzing insects.  A single deck
of cards lay on the table, next to a glowing ornate box.  
All the inhabitants of the pen had vanished some time ago.

This is where it began.  The call.  Sent out all over
the airwaves.  Few could resist its challenge.

There's a *lot* of work for you to do. :) See, there's this gentleman, 
supposed to be working on Part VII of a certain fic we both know...

A couple of things you (and perhaps others ^_^) might be interested in:

While you were away, a "Fun Fanfic Critiques" web page went up at 
<http://www.tfs.net/~tbutler/FFC/FFCIndex.html>. Be warned, there are 
many things there of a strange or even libellous nature up there. :)

Also, I should have something new to post here within the next couple of 
days... just as soon as I get the !$&$!:?!!%! rework of my Mac PPP 
software page finished. (Splitting 40+K worth of a single multilinked 
file up into 8 or 10 files should make it easier to read and maintain... 
but it's a real headache to do and keep all the links working, and I keep 
finding areas I need to rework/rewrite. <Sigh>

(BTW, sorry for the lateness of the reply... I got caught up in the 
problems with the ML, and didn't get mail from Sunday night through 
Thursday night. Then it all started coming in waves. <g> Many thanks 
again to WW for finding and fixing the problem.)
