I thought of that beforehand.
Two things:
1) In my opinion that was highly improbable good luck. The chain
was around his belly, after all, so there was no way to
predict the result of a change.
2) Ranko didn't see that episode, so she didn't know. :)
In one of my earlier parts, Ranko changed from female to male
while having her chest bound flat - It almost broke her ribs. I
try to be a little more rational about all that changing business;
In my fics you can't just assume "Oh, the chain will conveniently
wind up wrapped around his neck or foot."
Anyway, Akane would have killed him, had he changed before her
eyes. :)
